THE NEW EDITION: How "Party Out of Bounds" got back into print

With the clamor for the book almost audible, it was obvious a new edition was called for. But who out there in the publishing world would want to take a chance on re-issuing a 12-year old book? How would "Party Out of Bounds" get paroled from remaindered obscurity?

Two words: Frank Reiss.

Frank runs A Cappella, Atlanta's foremost independent bookstore and literary hot spot. A couple years ago, he noticed that there was a persistent interest in the book. People kept calling. Copies of "Party Out of Bounds" were trading for upwards of $75 a pop online. It had been out of print for 10 years, but it seemed to be developing a life of its own.

Frank suggested we republish the book under his everthemore books imprint. I thought it was a great idea. He had a designer come up with a new cover that was much more like what I would have wanted originally (I never cared much for the 'new wave' look of the first edition), and just like that "Party Out of Bounds" was reborn and made available once again through the magic of print-on-demand technology. Pretty amazing, when you think about it.

So, here it is, "Party Out of Bounds: The B-52's, R.E.M. and the Kids Who Rocked Athens, Ga.", readily available for your enjoyment.
